Analog sound (noise) sensor for Microbit – Elecfreaks Octopus
Elecfreaks Octopus Analog Noise Sound Sensor is a sound sensor module based on a MIC component, suitable for measuring noise intensity in a user’s environment. The sensor provides a linear analog signal — the louder the sound, the larger the sine wave size — and is suitable for simple connection to platforms such as the Micro:bit and the Octopus family.
Key Features
High sensitivity to ambient noise – This module is designed to measure noise level (decibels) in the environment, with an analog response suitable for direct reading.
Convenient Plug-and-Play connection – Equipped with a standard Octopus family connection (GND, VCC, Signal), easy to connect to Octopus:bit, for example via P1.
Wide voltage range – Works with an input voltage of 3.3V to 5V, compatible with a variety of platforms.
Simple integration with MakeCode – Using the “IOT” add-on in the MakeCode software, you can easily program a noise level reading and display it on the Micro:bit as a dB value.
