BME280 sensor for measuring pressure, temperature and humidity for the Microbit – Elecfreaks Octopus
Elecfreaks Octopus – BME280 digital sensor for microbit, for measuring humidity, pressure and temperature A smart module that integrates with the Octopus:bit platform and is based on Bosch’s BME280 sensor. Able to measure relative humidity, air pressure and temperature, and even calculate altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Connects via I²C or SPI to the MakeCode software and allows results to be displayed directly on the micro:bit screen.
Key Features
Accurate environmental measurements and multiple insights
Includes measurement of external air pressure (300–1100hPa, accuracy ±1hPa, resolution 0.18Pa), humidity (0–100%, accuracy ±2%, resolution 0.8%) and temperature (0–65°C, accuracy ±0.5°C, resolution 0.1°C)
In addition, altitude can be calculated from atmospheric pressure
Compact design and low power consumption
Size of about 31×23mm with a standard 3mm mounting hole, and TTL supply voltage of 1.2V–3.6V. Supports I²C (up to 3.4MHz) and SPI (3- or 4-wire, up to 10MHz)
Simple connection and programming
Easily mounts on Octopus:bit with I²C connection via spring cable. Through the MakeCode editor, you can read a pressure value and display it on the micro:bit.
