Sensor laser 3V lmmicrobit – Elecfreaks Octopus
Elecfreaks Octopus – 3V Laser Sensor (Red Light Emitter) for Microbit
A red laser beam emission module (650nm) that includes a laser chip, a focusing lens, and a circuit to direct the light beam. A red dot can be seen, and it is noted that with some means, even a light line can be achieved. Suitable for easy operation with the Micro:bit or Octopus:bit platform.
Main Features
Advanced Operating Principle
The module exhibits the distinct “laser” properties: high monochromaticity, precise coherence, focused direction, and high brightness (“The Three Goods” + “One High”).
Universal Operating Voltage
Operates at a voltage of DC 3V to 5.5V, compatible with standard Micro:bit systems.
Notable Technical Specifications
Wavelength: 650nm (red light)
Output Power: 5mW
Light Spot Size: Approximately 10-15mm in diameter from a distance of approximately 15m.
Simple Connection and Operation
Connected via three pins: GND, VCC, and Signal. Using MakeCode, the laser can be turned on by sending a HIGH signal to P1, and turned off with a LOW.
Safety Instructions
Avoid looking directly into the laser beam. This is a low-class laser (Class 3R), but still requires caution.
